CHI HA BEVUTO TUTTO IL VINO?
THE STORY BEHIND THIS CROSS
Picture a sweaty festival crowd in Córdoba suddenly transported into a shadowy 90s underground club in Milan. This cross takes “¿Quién se ha tomado todo el vino?”—the explosive 1986 Cuarteto hit by Argentine legend La Mona Jiménez—and completely reinterprets its DNA through the moody lens of Italian Alternative Rock.
Gone are the chaotic brass fanfares, bouncing accordions, and tropical dance beats. Instead, the track builds on a foundation of textured, ringing guitars, driven basslines, and steady, atmospheric drumming. The male vocals, adapted into Italian, exchange the original’s loud, festive shouting for a restrained, melodic, and introspective delivery that bursts with dramatic energy during the chorus.
It’s a fascinating sonic reimagining. By stripping the song of its tropical roots and coating it in alt-rock tension, this version transforms a rowdy South American party staple into an expressive, edgy anthem.
