Il Mozart del pentagramma di cristallo
THE STORY BEHIND THIS CROSS
Some stories deserve to travel beyond the language in which they were first told.
El Mozart del Pentagrama de Cristal tells the story of Agustín Tapia: a child from Catamarca who began playing padel alongside his grandfather, left his home while still very young and eventually crossed the Atlantic in pursuit of a dream that would take him to the top of the sport.
The original tribute was written in Spanish because that is the language of the place where his story began.
This Cross asks what happens when that story begins to travel.
In Italian, the song acquires a different musicality. The words move differently through the melody, while funk gives the narrative a new rhythmic identity. A story born in Argentina suddenly sounds as though it has arrived somewhere else.
And that is precisely the purpose of this Cross.
Agustín's achievements can be followed around the world, but knowing the player is not necessarily the same as knowing the journey behind him. The childhood alongside his grandfather, leaving Catamarca, the distance from his family and everything that existed before the trophies are part of a story that can resonate far beyond Argentina.
Translating the song is therefore not only about hearing how it sounds in another language. It is about giving that story another way to be discovered.
The player may already travel around the world. This Cross is an attempt to help his story travel with him.
